Mr Oscar Gregory

Former Director of the ARC Research Hub for Australian Steel Manufacturing now a Principal Fellow. His extensive industrial background brought a unique perspective to this role.

Mr Gregory has 43 years of manufacturing experience having held numerous senior executive positions with BlueScope Steel and BHPB.  He brings a wealth of invaluable knowledge of the Steel Industry to his current role.  Described as “a manufacturer who enjoys the challenge of increasing the productivity of businesses”, Mr Gregory is a strong advocate of companies remaining innovative and investing in product development.

Mr Gregory is a Board Member of the not-for-profit Flagstaff Group, and Chair of AFL South Coast NSW.  He continues to mentor professional women within and outside of BlueScope Steel.  Mr Gregory also advises private industry on a broad range of activities including technology development, safety and people development.
