Mr Michael Bradburn
Michael Bradburn is a Senior Associate at Cox Architecture.
He boasts a diverse range of experience, including particular expertise in education and cultural building typologies. His work is grounded in a commitment to sustainable building practices and design excellence. This is demonstrated in recent projects such as the Adelaide Studios, the Sustainable Buildings Research Centre (SBRC) and the Hyatt Regency, Sydney. His role as project architect for the SBRC at the University of Wollongong’s Innovation Campus extends his knowledge in best practice sustainable design. SBRC has a 6 Green Star (Education) Design Rating and is seeking Living Building Challenge certification, currently the world’s most stringent building certification scheme.
As our urban environments evolve to require denser living conditions, the challenge is how we do this in a way focused on improving our standard of living. Our urban design and architecture must contribute to the public domain, promote architectural excellence within the community and are developed responsibly for future generations. Cox architecture has a proud tradition of innovative use of steel in their buildings over 50 years.
The Steel Research Hub provides a partnership to continue this tradition and find solutions to the challenges of denser urban environments.
