ARC RESEARCH HUBS FACILITATING COLLABORATION WITH INDUSTRY

The Steel Research Hub recently joined the ARC Research Hub for Advanced Technologies for Australian Iron Ore to hold a two day Sintering Symposium on April 5 and 6, 2016.

We are pleased to see that Hub members, Professor David StJohn and Professor Elena Pereloma, will be playing active roles in this year’s Combined Australian Materials Societies Conference to be held in Melbourne on December 6-8 2016. David will be a Plenary Speaker for the event, whilst Elena is Chairing the “Advances in Steel Technology” Theme. Members should visit the CAMS website for further information. The Australian Research Council has announced funding of $5million to establish the Australian Steel Manufacturing Hub, based at the University of Wollongong (UOW).
